The Township is part of an enormous glacier development which created hundreds and hundreds of lakes. We are very fortunate that one area - namely north Lake Joe and part of Rosseau has become very popular with people who want larger homes and cottages. Everyone that visits the area scan not believe the open spaces and pristine landscape. The Township should put its name on the map by preserving this area by limiting excessive development !!
For this ‘one’ area there should be a limit of 1500’ for shoreline development. The Township will not lose tax revenue because the owners will be building fewer homes but there will be a larger square footage footprint. Anyone who owns currently a smaller lot would be grandfathered. If a progressive step like this is not taken then this one lake will become a ‘chock a block’ mini lot 300’ poorly designed mess that so many other lakes have experienced.
